Ghanaian Media are Fake News Makers;I have Never talked about Teacher Licensing on any Public Platform – Education Minister

The Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has indicated that he had never spoken about Teacher Licensing on any public platform since he was appointed Minister of the Education sector.

The Minister refuted reports that the Ministry of Education will soon commence the licensing of teachers in the country.

According to the Minister,he had not on any platform said anything about teacher licensing.

“Since I became a minister, I have not on any public platform talked, spoken, asked anything about teacher licensing.”

Speaking at the 12th National Delegates Conference of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) in Kumasi,on the theme   “Implementing Quality Free SHS Education: The Nuances of the Transition” the Education Minister told delegates to desist from rumors regarding the implementation of the program.

His submission digressed from the assertion of the National Teaching Council which has started engaging stakeholders on the issues of licensing and appraisal system.

The minister denied the implementation of the system,describing the Ghanaian Media as Fake News Producers.
