Level 100 Students of the Akrokeri College of Education in the Ashanti Region are expected to bring plastic Chairs as part of their prospectus for the 2017/18 academic year.
EducationGhana’s checks revealed that this wasn’t the first time Students were billed for plastic chairs at the Akrokeri College of Education.
In 2015,the Akrokeri College of Education billed newly admitted Students GH¢30.00 for plastic chairs, according to revelations, non of the chairs were bought.
In 2016,the newly admitted students were told to buy their own plastic chairs of which the students did and brought them to college as the college demanded.
Akrokeri College of Education will in Ghana’s Tertiary Education history, become the first College to billed students for plastic chairs to be used in the College.
It is still unclear why the 2015 batch paid for the same plastic chairs but never saw it in their entire duration as students of the College.
In a related story, Akrokeri college has been reported to have sidelined students from benefiting from the restored allowance until they pay their Academic fees in full.
