The delay in the increment of the salaries of Teachers and other Staff of the Ghana Education Service who took part in the Promotion interviews in 2016 was due to the inability of the Ghana Education Service to pay the Interview panelists what was due them.

According to information gathered from the ongoing Conference of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) at Cape Coast, the delay was due to the inability of the Ghana Education Service to pay the interview panelists on time, a situation That had forced the panelists to deny the GES access the results to effect further action.

Meanwhile, according to Conference, chaired by Miss Phillipa Baafi, the acting National President of the Association, the matter has been resolved.
The outcome of the interview has also been released to the Ghana Education Service (GES) and very soon those who qualified will be paid accordingly.
Earlier, Conference concluded, that each member of the Association shall be given Two yards each of the Association’s endorsed cloth from the beginning of the second term, January 2018.
