A total of 14,875 teachers are expected to receive their salary arrears by Close of March 2018 ,EducationGhana.net can confirm.
The said number is expected to get validated before the said month and successfully get their salary arrears paid by close of March.

In a meeting held by the Committee responsible for the validation of the Three Months Salary Arrears of Staff of the Ghana Education Service, comprising of Government, represented by the Ministry of Finance, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC),Controller and Accountant Generals Department(CAGD),the Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Audit Service on one Part, and Teacher Unions of the Ghana Education Service comprising the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT)and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers -Ghana (CCT-GH) on the other part, held on the 12th of January 2018 at the Ministry of Finance third Floor Conference room, the committee agreed on as follows :

That CAGD by close of Work on Wednesday, January 17,2018 provide the data of 239 teachers who were validated but not paid due to wrong staff Identification Numbers ,do the Director General of the Ghana Education Service to provide the missing Information with the Audit Service copied.
The Committee also agreed that CAGD should effect payment to any of the 239 teachers by February 2018 if credible information are being provided.
The committee however agreed that the CAGD be given three weeks to work on the IPPD 3 data and furnish the committee on data of the 14,875 teachers whose claims have been validated for costing.
In the Committee’s concluding remarks, it has agreed that inview of the enormity of the task involved in costing the validated claims, and reported maintenance work of two weeks by CAGD, work is expected to be completed and payment effected by March 2018.
