Former GES Director allegedly posses two Government vehicles after retirement

Former Director of the Ghana Education Service in charge of the Inspectorate division, Mrs Rosetta Addison Sackey has been alleged to have illegally kept two Government vehicles in her custody months after her retirement from the office.

In a statement issued by the Institute for Liberty and Policy Innovation (ILAPI) on February 1,2018,its Educational Center conducted an investigation at the headquarters of the Ghana Education Service to reveal the rot at the National leadership of the Ghana Education Service.

According to ILAPI, Mrs Rosetta Addison Sackey, former Director, Inspectorate Division, GES Headquarters who retired in September, 2017 is still in possession of two government vehicle with registration numbers GV 430 – 14 (Toyota Avensis – salon) and a GV 384 – 16 (Nissan Navara – pick up) till date.

In the absence of the Nissan Navara, it has rendered the 8 Inspectors incapable to regularly go for look-over to provide professional advice in our schools in Ghana.

This has made the Inspectors to go out for monitoring with their own pocket incomes and often reluctant to go for inspections.

ILAPI also petitioned the GES on the alleged promotional letter of the former PRO of GES, Rev. Jonathan Bettey and still the service has not replied the Institute.
