Students all over the Country shall from today observe what is termed ‘The Red Week Protest’ to show their disapproval of the infamous Ghana -US Military deal which was ratified by parliament recently.
The National Union of Ghana students on Friday 23/03/2018 issued a strong caution to Government concerning the GHANA – US military deal.
In that release, the Union stated its position on the matter and further called on MPs to reject the agreement.
This call was premised on the fact that the deal gives the United States inappropriate access to our security details, protects the US military beyond citizens of Ghana, the deal has no tangible purpose nor time limit.
Unfortunately, parliament ratified the agreement without recourse to critical concerns raised on the matter by NUGS and other stakeholders.
