JUST IN:GES Begins Internal Personnel Auditing to authentic actual Number of Active Workers

The Ghana Education Service has Started an internal Personnel Auditing to authenticate the actual number of active workers in the Ghana Education Service.

The Headquarters of the Education Service has directed the Chief Internal Auditor of the Ghana Education Service to begin an Internal Personnel Auditing of the Staff of the GES starting from all District Directorates of Education.

In a letter dated April 4,2018 and signed by the Acting Director of the Ghana Education Service ,Anthony Boateng for the Director General, the data to be collected should indicated the number of active workers from the School Level,which should culminate in a district aggregate.

The District aggregate is expected to be collated at the Regional Level to determine the Regional Aggregate.

Each School data is expected to be endorsed by the Headmasters and Circuit Supervisors while the District Aggregate is to be endorsed by the District Directors and the Front line officers and the Regional Aggregate to be endorsed by the Regional Director and the Regional Internal Auditor.

Also, all data at the School and District Levels are to be countersigned by the Auditor(s) who carried out the exercise.

It has been emphasized that the Regional Internal Auditor under the direct supervision of the Regional Director through the Chief Internal Auditor is responsible for the exercise and shall be accountable for it.

The detailed report of the Exercise is expected to be submitted to the Director General of the Ghana Education Service by close of work on Monday, April 30,2018.
