A former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA ) ,Prof. Stephen Adai,has indicated categorically that the Cause of the Poor Performance of Pupils at the Public Basic Schools in the Country has been due to the Poor Teaching and Supervision by the various stakeholders in the Education Sector.
Delivering his keynote address,at the 2018 Odeefour Oteng Korankye II Educational Fund Stakeholder and Fundraising Event at Ashesi University at Berekusu ,the Old Professor congratulated President Akuffo Addo for introducing the Free SHS Policy to help increase enrollment at the pre-tertiary level.

He said with such funds like the Odeefour Oteng Korankye II Educational Fund, will augment the efforts of government to provide better education for all.
He called on government to take a critical look at the basic education and make it effective since is the grassroot of education.
The Founder of Odeefour Oteng Korankye II Educational Fund and the chief of Berekuso, Odeefour Oteng Korankye II, has said that with collective responsibilities, needy and brilliant school-going children in Berekuso and surrounding communities will get access to quality education.
He said this when he delivered his speech at the 2018 Odeefour Oteng Korankye II Educational Fund Stakeholder and Fundraising Event at Ashesi University at Berekusu to raise funds to support needy but brilliant students in Berekuso.

Odeefour Korankye II said with interventions to support school-going children in the community, they (children) would be able to be useful and responsible citizens to support national development.
He was grateful to the board of Trustees and the management of the fund for their commitment and hardwork to making the activities of the fund an effective one.
The chair of Board of Trustees of the Odeefour Oteng Korankye II Educational Fund, Mrs. Rebecca Awuah said in her progress that the fund was set up in November 2016 following the falling standard of education at Berekuso over the years.’
According to her the fund hopes to put an ICT facility and other educational facilities to facilitate effective teaching and learning in the community.
A beneficiary, currently a General Science student of Odorgorno Senior High, Godwin Sallah was grateful to the fund for their support.
“Although there is Free SHS, there are some items that are not covered by the policy and you have to get them yourself…but thanks to this fund I am virtually enjoying free SHS without any financial difficulties”, he said.
He urged other students to study hard to able to meet the requirement to receive support from the fund.
The ceremony saw the chief of Kitase-Mpeaduase, Oyeman Nana Kwasi Ankrah II, other traditional leaders, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of the Ga East Municipal Assembly, Janet Tulasi Mensah and former District Chief Executive of the Akuapem-South District, Afari Djan including other dignitaries attending.
Sensational gospel musicians including Great Ampong, Nicholas Omane Acheampong and Joyce Blessing added colour to the ceremony with awesome performances.
