JUST IN:Komenda College 2018 graduates at ‘war’ with College Authorities over an alleged GH¢50 extortion

Graduates of the Komenda College Of Education (KOMENCO)  in the Central Region have poured their anger and agitations over a supposed GH¢50 that they were supposed to pay before taking their Certificates few days after their graduation.

The graduates attended their graduation ceremony on Saturday ,June 1,2018 at the College’s Complex Hall.

According to information gathered by  EducationGhana.net, the graduates were charged to pay GH¢200 as graduation fee, of which the College gave them only a graduation gown with snack,a situation the students described as unfortunate.

Meanwhile, two days after the graduation ceremony, the graduates were made to pay an additional GH¢50 before they could be issued Certificates as Diploma in Basic Education graduates from the University of Cape Coast.

The graduates questioned the decision to allow them travel back home while the authorities knew very well the certificates were available, and why they should be charged to pay such huge sum of money.

Meanwhile, there is a reportedly ongoing interaction among authorities to cancel the said payment.
