Respected Ghanaian educationist and counselor, Mr. Daniel Fenyi, has decried on what he terms “bedroom decision” by the Akufo-Addo administration to change all Colleges of Education (CoE) to University Colleges (UC) without recourse to available facilities and future challenges.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi made this revelation on a Mankessim-based Obrumankoma 95.5FM on last Monday morning and continued that, Ghana is ran by too many bedroom decisions and that is not a good practice for a country that wants to develop.

According to Mr. Daniel Fenyi, a “bedroom decision” is a decision made by just one man in his bedroom without broader stakeholder consultations and proper parliamentary proceedings.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi further cited example of the conversion of polytechnics into Technical Universities under the erstwhile NDC administration which has turned out to be useless since the name change has not affected anything.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi argued that the government should focus on improving available facilities, enhancing human capital, introducing upgrading courses for tutors, and increase the restored allowances of the students.
