The National Teaching Council (NTC) is expected to meet with stakeholders to review the GH¢220 Licensure Examination Fee charged all Final Year Students of the Various Colleges of Education in the Country.
According to information reaching EducationGhana.net, the National Teaching Council met with other stakeholders including the Teacher Unions and the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana(TTAG) to discuss matters relating to the Licensure Examination.
Though the NTC is yet to make a public pronouncement with regards to proceedings from the meeting, EducationGhana.net is reliably informed that the licensure examinations will be written in about three weeks after the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has released the pass list of students at the end of their two final papers.

The National Teaching Council is expected to officially communicate to trainees across the country, how materials for the exams will be gotten.
The National Teaching Council is expected to reschedule a stakeholders meeting to review and accept a fee to be charged by Consensus.

It could be recalled, that the National Teaching Council sent a document to all Principals of the various colleges of Education, charging the Final year Teacher Trainees an amount of GH¢220 as Licensure Examination fees.
The Teacher Unions later issued a statement opposing the said amount with the excuse that the decision was taking out of their stakeholder meetings and subsequently called for its suspension.

Later, the NTC came to give the breakdown of the fees, but the Unions believed it’s suspension was very necessary since their inputs weren’t taken into consideration before final decisions were being implemented.
