The New Teacher Education Policy implementation shall be given an aptitude test,as Five media personalities among many others are expected to “quiz” the Challenge Fund Project Teams from Transforming Teacher Education and Learning (T-TEL).
The media personalities include Ellis Ferdinand from Education Ghana Media Network ,and four other representatives from CitiFM, Joy News, TV3 and the Ghana News agency.
Ellis Ferdinand earlier questioned the preparedness of government prior to the implementation of the 4-year B. ED programs in Colleges of Education in his infamous Ellis Ferdinand’s top 10 questions about the 4-year Degree Program for Colleges of Education.
He is expected to retrieve a vivid understanding of the policy for public Education.
The two-event workshop, which has been put together by Transforming Teacher Education and Learning (T-TEL) shall be hosted by the Capital View Hotel in Koforidua on Wednesday, July 11 to Thursday, July 12,2018 for first Event and Tuesday, July 17 to Wednesday ,July 18 ,2018 for the second event respectively.

T-TEL is a Four Year Government of Ghana Programme funded by UK aid to see to a successful implementation of the the 4-year B. ED Programs in Colleges of Education and to see a successful transformation of Colleges into fully fledged Tertiary Institutions.
T-TEL has invested significant resources into Colleges of Education through the “Challenge Fund” initiative towards innovation in Teacher Development, Tutor Professional Development, College Management ,Gender and Inclusion and Improved Partnerships. The purpose of these initiatives according to T-TEL is to help ensure that Colleges of Education become fully fledged tertiary institutions.
After about 12 to 15 months of implementation, the Challenge Fund Project Teams and Stakeholders are converging with the aim of creating a common platform for sharing key lessons, showcasing achievements and exploring opportunities for taking best practices and results forward in their institutions and within the Teacher Education system as a whole.
The event is organized on the theme “Mobilizing Local Resources and Partnerships to improve the Professional Preparation of Pre-service Teachers in Ghana’s Colleges of Education.

The media personalities are expected to interact with the Challenge Fund Project Teams and ask questions after their Presentations.
Some Colleges of Education participating in the first event include; Peki College of Education, Jasikan College of Education ,Presbyterian Women College of Education, SDA College of Education,St. Teresa’s College of Education, Agogo Presbyterian Women College of Education, Presbyterian College of Education, Dambai College of Education and Akatsi College of Education.
