A Group calling itself Progressive Teachers and Youth Alliance (PROTAYA) is challenginging the Leadership of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers to be accountable to its members and prevent the high rate of lallegde corruption ongoing at the leadership level of the Association.
In a statement released by the group,it criticized the leadership for taking its members for granted and taking advantage of their Salaries to fatten their bellies.
The group also demanded immediate and urgent answers certain pertinent issues affecting the union.Notable among them include;
1.The Whereabouts of Mr. Enerst Opoku a very affront, resolute and committed person who is no more steering the affairs of the association.
2.Challenging the current executives and their NEC to proceed to court to file legal writ against the two ex- officers, because as it stands now they do not know of the antecedents as to why they are no more .
3.Again, there was a corruptible deal involved in the printing of 20000 T-shirts which was attributed to the Ashanti regional Chairman of CCT and Mr. King Ali Awudu.
A former member of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers made an allegation against the cost of one T-shirt which is GHc 12 but was inflated by Mr.King Ali Awudu to GHc13 thereby enriching their accounts by a whooping sum of GHc20000 . As we speak now, the CCT has not conducted any investigation nor taken any action against the said individuals.
4.Mr.Kingsley was supposed to be sanctioned for engaging in these barbaric ,inhuman ,evil, dubious and pernicious means of annexing wealth according to the communication director Mr.Norbert Gborbgotsie in the year 2013. Its been three years now and we have not seen any punitive measures mitered out on the culprit .
5. They group is also calling on the leadership of CCT to render unqualified apology to Innovative teachers for false allegations leveled against them by Mr Norbert that BNI was chasing the leadership of the said association.

The Progressive Teachers And Youth Alliance is by this release challenging the entire leadership of CCT to come out and explain to it’s members some critical issues concerning the association. We do not want to believe that the association was formed as usual, to take advantage of the salary of teachers to fatten their bellies .
As teacher’s group, we can not sit down and look on as some pocket of selfish, egocentric, individualistic persons to misappropriate and misapply the funds of teachers which was meant to better their lives in one way or the other not to impoverish them.
We demand immediate and urgent answers to the following else we will ask members to advice themselves.

We are urging the leadership of CCT to accord this release with keen interest or Risk loosing hundreds of its members to other associations.
We therefore wish to assure all our members who owe allegiance to CCT and the other unions to calm down as we have started the process of putting our leadership on their toes and assisting in every means necessary to bring sanity to the corrupt and porous systems we have in our associations.
