The Ghana Education Service says it will complete the review of the Computerised School Selection Placement System, CSSPS before this year’s placement is done.
The review has become necessary following complaints by parents that students posted to certain public Senior High Schools were turned away, leaving them stranded.
According to the PRO of the Ghana Education Service, Rev Jonathan Bettey the review is expected to address inefficiencies and ensure that students who make the required grades are posted and accepted by the Public Senior High Schools.
He said the GES is worried about the falling standards of education in the Senior High Schools, especially in Mathematics and Science.
Rev Bettey said the Service is taking steps to address this.
