The Controller and Accountant General’s Department has paid outstanding arrears of some teachers across the country at the end of November 2016.

Majority of teachers who received their salary arrears are from the 2014 batch of teacher trainees posted from the Colleges of Education and a few from 2013.Meanwhile,there are other teachers who are still waiting to be paid their outstanding arrears.
Some of the teachers who showed their frustrations have threatened to vote against the Mahama led National Democratic Congress in the upcoming Elections in December.
Government owes teachers their salary arrears after the implementation of the three months pay policy with a purpose of taking off ‘ghost names’ from the government payroll.
