Teachers in the Basic and senior high schools can now apply for study leave with pay to upgrade themselves in their various fields of endeavors.
According to a statement issued by the director general of the Ghana Education Service,Jacob Kor, teachers who are eligible for study leave with pay are to be granted by all regional directors according to the regional quota system.
The supposed teachers should satisfy the following requirements to be eligible:
- Is a Permanent Staff
- Has been confirmed in the appointment
- Has served the organization for a period not less than three continuous years ;and
- Has served in deprived areas for at least two years
- Has completed serving a previous bond where applicable.
