The Winneba high court today 14th July,2017 has held the application by lawyer of the plantiff Alex Afenyo Markin to restrain the Vice Chancellor and Finance Officer from holding office and also not to be recognized as officers of the University until the substantive case is ruled.
The Pro. Vice Chancellor is to act in place of these two officers and no other person who derive his authority from the two officers should make any payment to a contractor or agency on behalf of the University.
The court then gave 14 days to the Ministry of Education to constitute a new council. The judge awarded a cost of GH 4,000.00 to the University and the Ministry. Court goes on leave and will resume in October.
The case is then adjourned to 9th October,2017.
