NTSs begin Sensitization Programme for Nursing Students On Online Examination

The Nursing Training Schools (NTS) in Ankaful, Pantang and Yendi who are scheduled to begin the online licensing exams in July this year have all expressed their readiness for a smooth take-off of the examination.

The Council last week completed phase one of the sensitization programme for the schools and candidates who will be participating in this year’s exams.

The sensitization included Staff and Students’ durbar, infomercials on all Council’s social media platforms, Press Releases from the media, Stakeholder engagements and a lot more.

The phase two will take the form of orientation for the Examiners, Supervisors and invigilators for the exams.
According to Mr. Felix Nyante, Registrar of the Council during a visit to NTS Yendi and Tamale, his outfit will organize a mock examination for the candidates to be conversant with the online licensing examinations and help boost their confidence.

He reminded candidates to stick to the rules of the examination mentioning some of the malpractices as carrying of foreign materials to exams halls, seeking help from other candidates, misappropriation of items belonging to the Council and other candidates.

Earlier, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana has indicated that the 2018/19 Academic Year will see a new dawn in the ways of  conducting Examination in the Nursing and Midwifery Training colleges,which will be an online examination procedure.

The N&MC suggested there will be piloting of the New Examination process to check its validity in the country.
