A disabled girl of the Keta Roman Catholic Convent Girls School in the Keta Municipality in the Volta Region took the crowd by surprise during the 61st Independence Anniversary Celebration.
The girl who was part of the celebration hosted by the Keta Municipality was the only disabled pupil to gather courage to take part in the Independence parade.

The one armed pupil held the flag of the Keta Roman Catholic Convent Girls School during the match pass through to the end of the ceremony.
Speaking with other disabled pupils at the venue, they complained of the shame they go through when they intended engaging in the Independence Day parade.
They are hopeful they will get the opportunity next year.
