Meanwhile, the Unions are believed to have called on government and other stakeholders to an emergency meeting before the close of the week to discuss the matter and it’s illegality.
According to teachers, the deduction was illegal since they had no discussion with government to deduct them of such amount.
The Teachers also said that they have pertinent issues to help solve and not a decision that mostly takes place after their death.

The deductions saw Teachers criticising their Union leaders for disappointing them by taking decisions that never benefits them.
Though the policy has made it possible for members to withdraw membership, the Teachers believed the process was cumbersome and just wanted the GES to abrogate the contract and deal with their condition of service and other pertinent issues.
Government earlier indicated it was planning a policy for Teachers only for Teachers to realize, they were planning their own policies.
